Comedy falls flat with uninteresting situations

(1934) The Richest Girl In The World COMEDY/ DRAMA

A much younger Mariam Hopkins plays as Dorothy Hunter the 'richest girl in the world' who has doubts about her ever getting married. She then bumps into an average Joe, Tony Travers (Joel McCrea) which the movie spends much of it's time testing whether he's really is 'Mr. Right'- whether he intends to marry her for her money or for the sake of love, regardless how much money she has. While the comedy fall flat it also drags and is unrelatable in terms of it's situations, and by the time the film was over, I ended up not caring anymore. Nominated for a single Oscar for the screenplay.
