As any series that are made, episodal and storyline fatigue is a natural happening. The same applies to House M. D. Sometimes a break and restart of the series can be a solution, but not always.
However, and whatever the cause of this fatigue syndrom, it is not always cureable, and sometimes the fatigue sets in earlier rather than later. In House M. D. this fatigue set in around Season 5.
Everything taken into consideration, though, some of the best episodes of the series are found in season/series 8, and of these the episode of the prison/jail-time and this present episode is by far the best.
