Jack is a paramedic who works the graveyard shifts alongside his friend, the ever wisecracking Roger. Jack has a foul mouth but he's a charitable guy, when he finds a young woman called Danika in a very poor state outside one night he takes her back to his apartment to nurse her back to health. However he soon discovers that she is a vampire and becomes complicit in finding victims for her to bite. This turns out to be good fun. Danika is an attractive young vampire and she is often seen scantily dressed or partially naked. I picked this up very cheap on DVD under the title "Vampire Apocalypse" but the original title "Bitten" is far more apt, there is certainly no apocalypse here! Horror comedy either works or it doesn't but the makers managed to get the balance right. That doesn't necessarily make this a good movie because it isn't but it's certainly not a bad one either. Couple of amusing lines - "You ate my ex girlfriend" and "Is she deader?" I'd quote more but there is a great deal of swearing and crude language throughout. Quite violent at times too, hence the BBFC 18 rating. Don't eject during the end credits as there is a post credit scene. I doubt that I'd give this a repeat viewing but did find it reasonably enjoyable.
