(1980) The Big Brawl/ Battle Creek Brawl
ACTION/ COMEDY
Co-written and directed by Robert Clouse that takes place during the 1930's reminiscent to "Return of the Dragon" that has Jerry Kwan (Jackie Chan) defending his dads restaurant business from goons led by mobster, Dominici (José Ferrer). Before he goes back to be retrained with his martial arts master and uncle, Herbert (Mako). When mobster, Dominici begins to notice how well he beats up his fellow goons, he tries to convince Jerry to fight on behalf of him.
Jackie Chan's first attempt to jump start his film career in the US as well as his first English speaking film which has a entertaining beginning, which cannot be said the same for the rest of the way especially the end. Somewhere on the beginning showcases some of Jackie's acrobats involving tennis balls which was an absolute delight but the final fight could've been better had Jackie had more creative control but slightly better than average overall.
