I agree with other reviewers that the movie moves quite slow for most of the movie, but once dad finally disappears in the pickup truck and in the other way it was easy to see (pun intended) that he would be back to save the day.
When the bad guy showed up at the door it took me about a minute to figure things out before they actually happened and I said to myself, here it comes. What to do with the body? I said "feed it to a bear," and well that didn't disappoint, either.
But that was only two of three nice surprises in the last 25 minutes. I'll leave that one last zinger for you to discover. I feel sorry for anyone who turned off the movie early, the good stuff is all at the end. The special effects of dad's slow disappearance were great, too, with the details of his internals down to the spaces inside his bones. This would have been 5/10 until the ending, now 7/10. Worth the stay!
