I found the four women incredibly selfish, cruel and unlikeable. The one who was raped I could see having issues but even so the lack of compassion she had for the child that Brenda was (on finding who Brenda was) made her unsympathetic. Thinking she died as a child shouldn't have stopped them feeling something when Brenda revealed herself. There was such an absolute disregard for what she would have gone through from being abandoned. All they thought about was themselves. It was also sooooooooooooooooooooo stupid that the wealthy women among them couldn't arrange a DNA test?
There was a lot of stupidity in the story line that kept the show going longer than necessary. Lots of unlikable people in this show. It was back ground noise while I did something else.
