A columbo from may 1994. When someone is murdered, small pieces of a larger puzzle start appearing. Will they find the other missing pieces? And will they explain what the killer was looking for? Keep an eye out for ed begley and tyne daly, in early roles. Also burt young, from rocky and chinatown! He was oscar nominated for the first rocky, but also nominated for the razzie for rocky four and five! Also ed hibbert, from frasier. It's a bit disjointed... we don't really know what's going on until about halfway through.this one produced by peter falk himself. At one point, he denies being a policeman, which doesn't sound like how he usually operates. And when he's in the hospital, columbo wants to leave, but the nurse refuses. At some point, patients had the right to refuse care, and leave "against medical advice". But i'm not sure when that was actually codified. It's pretty good! This was a television movie, so it's separate from the series. Directed by vince mceveety. Story by ed mcbain, whose real name was evan hunter. He had worked on hitchcock's "the birds".
