In the original "Hercules", he met up with the young Ulysses and turned him into a protégé. Here, they're already on an adventure, having fought sea monsters, charging bulls and lions, when they encounter Hebrew muscle man Samson, and the muscle mass literally bursts off the screen. It's a beautifully filmed adventure with a story that goes all over the place, including time periods, but why complain about that when this ends up being one of the best sword and sandal films ever?
Flying hatchets and spears soar through the sky with Kirk Morris as Hercules, Iloosh Khoshabe as Samson and Enzo Cerusico as Ulysses. Anf where there's Samson, there also has to be Delilah, but she looks nothing like Hedy Lamarr. The grand sets and super photography, accompanied by a fantastic musical score, results in a joyous cinematic treat. Unintentional laughs occur when the men are alone together.
