The Journey Of Natty Gann is a 1985 Adventure drama starring Meridth Salenger,John Cusack,Ray Wise and Laiene Kazen. The story follows a 12-year-old tomboy named Natty Gann(Salenger) from the 1930s whose single father (Wise) leaves her behind in Chicago while he goes to Washington to look for work in the timber industry.
Natty ends up being taken care of by(Kazen)who hates having her around and so Natty runs away from the shelter to follow her father. Along the way she befriends a wolf that has been abused in dog fights, hops on a train, and is presumed dead when her wallet is found after the train crashes.
Natty also has a series of adventures along with misadventures in various farmhouses, police stations, hobo camps, reform schools, and boxcars. She even meets a hobo(Cusack) who befriends her and shows her the way.
Overall it was a goos movie that I've never even heard of before so I was glad I found a hidden gem on Disney Plus.
