Pacino Leading Way in Predicable Story
19 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Pacino was great in this one leading the way from start to finish with great acting from Penn and the others as well. Right from the beginning you know how it's going to end but the story does a nice job of keeping you engaged with Pacino having to battle his past with his present. While the ending was mostly predictable, it was still a great fighting scene and Blanco from the Bronx was still kind of a surprise. Overall classic gangster movie, with Miami Spanish vibes and a sprinkle of romance, business, gangster, humor and killing. I think an 8 is a fair rating but this type of story isn't my favorite so I gave it a 7. Still a good movie nonetheless.
