No compelling chain of incidents
deickemeyer25 November 2017
This film story suffers throughout its entire length from short, choppy scenes, with no compelling chain of incidents for the observer to follow. The intent of the picture is also quite vague. There is an interesting case of dual personality, the girl's father being none other than John Dick, safecracker. She runs across him in her settlement work and they both attempt robbery at the same time, for different reasons. With clearer treatment and more logical plot development, that might have made a strong picture, but as it stands, it is disappointing. - The Moving Picture World, October 11, 1913
