A two-reel offering, written and produced by Allan Dwan, with Murdock MacQuarrie and Pauline Bush in the leading roles. The plot is familiar in most of its details. The girl's father is in the power of the villain, played by Lon Chaney. who blackmails him at will. The girl does some amateur detective work, and later in the story one of the gang shoots the villain. The story is well constructed, but not very fresh in subject matter. - The Moving Picture World, April 4, 1914
