living in the swamp

I saw this movie with my mother in 1959 in Barnesville,Ga. I was seventeen and a senior in High School. I can count on one hand the number of times I went to the movies with either of my parents. Major one was "Gone with the Wind" in Griffin,Ga. I remember putting my head in my Dad's lap when all the fire was going on. And everyone in theater chanting "shoot him, shoot him" when the Yankee was approaching Charlotte on stairs. The Okefenokee movie was memorable because the father was falsely accused of something and had taken his daughter into the swamp when she was very small to live. At the time of the movie she was anything but small. The guy that found them of course fell for her. I can still remember almost jumping out of my seat when the snake struck the father getting a drink of water. Old B/W movie for everyone.
