It does the job

Warning: Spoilers
A little known heroic bloodshed flick from Taiwan, this one features Wai Lam as an ordinary guy who loses a family member to a drug overdose and goes all Charles Bronson in the streets, hunting for any drug dealers he can find. Later he's assigned a new role by businessman Wu Ma to take down a couple of big names, one of whom is played by the entertainingly over the top Shing Fui-on. Meanwhile, the local police headed by the always funny Alex Man is on his case. HEROIC BROTHERS is one of those films that makes up for what it lacks in budget in sheer explosive action. There's a wealth of gunplay building to an entertaining bloody climax and it all works a treat. Sure, it's a little simplistic and on the cheap side to be a stone cold classic, but for my money it does the job.
