Long-forgotten 'wilderness' movie

Warning: Spoilers
STARBIRD AND SWEET WILLIAM is one of many 'wilderness' films that were doing the rounds in American cinemas in the early 1970s. This one has no stars and not much of a plot, either; it merely follows the adventures of a Native American who finds himself living in the wilderness after a plane crash. Much of the film features wildlife footage of the various creatures that Starbird encounters in his journeys, with a raven, a raccoon, and a bear cub becoming particular allies along the way. I have to say that I really enjoyed this film for its simplicity and the beautiful scenery and animals it features. Sure, the recurring song is more than a little twee, and some of the antics are rather sentimental, but for an animal lover like myself I was in heaven.
