The first Pokemon game I ever played on my life. Very fun and addictive, I remember wanting to play it as close to the anime version as possible (I named myself "Ash" and named my rival "Gary") I also got a Pikachu on my team, but couldn't resist the temptation of making him evolve into Raichu.
I didn't know back then some Pokemon were unavailable for this version, and I was disappointed when I couldn't include a Growlithe on my team, since it was one of my favorite Pokemon from Generation 1.
I got the Red version only to finally have a Growlithe on my team, but it always was a fun experience to replay this game.
