This is one of those films that can't quite make up its mind what it wants to be: soft porn with extended gratuitous full frontal nudity and explicit but not obscene sex scenes, and a lesbian scene thrown in for good measure; thriller about a foolish gambler who rips off his boss, is given a chance to redeem himself only to flunk it badly; comedy...there is some comedy in there, or at least the scriptwriters appear to think so.

The plot, such as it is, could have amounted to something, but it is ridiculous. Okay, some films are ridiculous, heck, life is ridiculous at times, but there is too much ridiculous here. In the final scene, the hero gets the girl, and one of the bad guys gets his just deserts, but let's not forget they are both crooks. If the film has one saving grace it is a fairly decent soundtrack by an artist called Junior Lightning Boy, who does not appear to exist.

A Kira Reed special (It's on VHS but not available through amazon.com), this film has good acting, a good script, and a fairly exciting plot; Kira is harassed by a Russian immigrant mobster, locked in a trunk and shipped to LA, among other perils she has to overcome. The production values are high for a film in this genre; plenty of Las Vegas locale shooting.

For me though, the real star is Mia (billed as Ava Lake). It is by far her most sexually energetic role which she handles well and in straight dialogue acting too. Her figure is not too great (neither is Kira's for that part) but she has an Italian look about her (her real name is Zotolli) and can play a b---h very well as she does here. She has been excellent in a number of pictures such as sex@students.org where she played against soft core male actor Bobby Johnston.
