Not really a great movie, but I gave it an 8 because I'm a big Isabelle Mejias fan and this is one of her best performances. She rarely was given a role that took advantage of her abilities, often appearing in flimsy comedies (STATE PARK aka HEAVY METAL SUMMER, HIGHER LEARNING, MEATBALLS III), mediocre horror films (SCANNERS II), etc. And as I said, FALL FROM INNOCENCE isn't great, but it's a serious, thoughtful story and she carries it with her effective performance. This would rate along with the best of her other film roles such as THE BAY BOY, BLUE LINE, and JULIE DARLING aka DAUGHTER OF DEATH. So if you're an Isabelle Mejias fan like me (I was, in fact, the first American ever to write her a fan letter!) then don't miss FALL FROM INNOCENCE.
