The heretofore unheard-of link between Kiana Tom and John Williams.

No, the legendary composer didn't score this series; what I'm saying is that his various Olympics themes have been the one truly worthwhile thing to come from the world of sport (a pastime I've never rated very highly, either to take part in or watch), and I credit them for tempting me to take a peek at the 1988 Olympics coverage.

Similarly, ESPN shows are pretty much no-go areas for me on the whole; so why am I commenting on this exercise show? And why did I watch each new episode shown on ESPN? Was it the wide-ranging fitness regime the presenters featured on each episode? Er.... no.

Was it the lovely island scenery? Er.... no.

Was it a desire to have a body like Kendall or Rick? Er.... no.

Was it because of Deprise and Mary Beth? Er.... no, but you're getting warmer.

It's all about Kiana. And Jennifer. And Kimiko (mmm). And sometimes Tina. But especially the fit in both senses of the word Kiana ("fit" is the equivalent British slang for "hot" in America). Cute, gorgeous and really missed when she wasn't in that day's show, Kiana was and is as stirring as Williams's music, though in a different sense. Her "Playboy" spread, unlike Tiffany's, is eagerly awaited by me and other admirers.

Oh yeah, the rest of the show was okay as well.
