Wonderful film by first time director Ian Truitner

Writer-director Ian Truitner's first time out shows signs of good things to come. From the moment you see the movie poster designed to imitate the style of old pulp novels, you know the film is going to be a fun experience. Mr. Truitner's creative use of lighting, camera angles, editing and dialogue accompanied by a great jazz score are reflective of a style common in the old serials of the past. While created as a solitary movie, this film is Chapter 12 in a supposed series of stories. By design, the movie begins with the assumption that the audience knows certain information as if they had seen the other non-existent eleven chapters. By the time it ends, you are left wanting to know what the next chapter will be. Very clever. Tommy's search for the "Master Keys" results in a bizarre ending at which you just have to laugh.

Overall, a very fine short film.
