While flying over a particularly dangerous mountainous region, Arzak is the victim of a hallucination: the shadow of a rock turns into a monstrous jaw. At the bend of a large canyon, he discovers a seemingly deserted stone tower. He then decides to stop there when the first shadows of the night catch up with him.

On certain winter nights, Desert "B" sees immense fields of carnivorous grasses reappear. Sheltered at the top of the ruins of a stone arch, Arzak accompanies with a flute tune the heartbeat of a great ape suspended in the void under the monument, trying to escape from the carnivorous fields. An image is taking form in the mind of the warrior: that of a woman at the seaside. The fate of the animal depends only on a dream.

Arzak walks the streets of a city in ruins, where there isn't a living soul to meet on the streets, not even a creature or a simple movement. Around him, everything is abandoned: skyscrapers, rusty car wrecks, empty apartments immersed in silence. The city seems deserted until the warrior hears a mysterious voice singing to an old tune of music.

Arzak is resting at the Auberge des Monts Verts in the company of Perle, a very attractive young woman. But the warrior does not suspect that his companion is acting on behalf of a power-hungry alien. This entity is known as the King, and he is assisted by the Souricier - his own devoted mad scientist. Is there a bounty on Arzak's head? Arzak will soon have to figure it out.

Noshka, the Secret Soul of Desert "B", has been kidnapped by a monstrous Djinn. Arzak is instructed by Governor Block to find her using a magic key allowing him to open several parallel dimensions. The only thing is: the key is hanging on the sleeping monster's neck. Will Arzak manage to deliver Noshka from the clutches of the monster?

Arzak follows Route 88, which crosses Desert "B", when he notices a red car too fast for his brave Pteroid. He barely has time to see the blue eyes of the driver who taunts him. The lone warrior then decides to pursue the mysterious woman to the Stardust Café. But he's not the only one in the race.

Without news of the Guardian of the Cloud Tower whom he has for mission to protect, Arzak decides to go there. Once inside, he discovers that time has stood still. Even Baluga, the janitor robot, broke down. But where has the Keeper of the Tower gone? Is she still alive? Is the tower occupied by an invisible and nefarious force?

Searching for an exit from an inextricable maze in which he is a prisoner, Arzak comes face to face with several dangerous creatures. Fortunately, the last of the Ptero-warriors still wields the sword well. The fighting continues until Arzak is seriously injured. Are invisible forces controlling our hero?
