Not one of CFF s better films

Warning: Spoilers
2 teenagers lose the school nature hunt, get in a boat and are shipwrecked on a supposedly deserted island. For some reason two fugitives are on the island, hiding out.The fugitives capture the boys and there are further adventures before the police spot smoke on the island, rescue the boys and capture the fugitives. So not really adhering to the usual OFF formula where children get the upper hand over adults.Nobody seems to be too concerned about 2 boys going missing.Pretty uninspiring.

Island Getaway...
azathothpwiggins22 July 2021
Two boys wander away from their field trip group, winding up on a deserted island. They discover they're not alone, as two criminals have been using the island as a hideout.

Drama ensues when the two parties meet, causing a fight for survival.

BLACK ISLAND is a decent kid adventure movie from England. The crooks are well-played, especially the very thuggish Jack (Michael Elphick), who gives off just the right amount of menace. He brings to mind some of Oliver Reed's more sinister portrayals.

A tense adventure suitable for family viewing...
