Intimate and stylish insight on the French Riviera lifestyles
snoozyjouk6 August 2014
I watched this show years ago shortly after its release and enjoyed the intimacy and romance of an A-Lister's view of French Riviera culture (Fondation Maeght, Picasso's War and Peace Chapel, the brocantes, the Pampelonne beaches, Monte Carlo casino, etc).

Looking back, this show seemed like a precursor of the MTV/Cribs TV generation. It has some stylish and snappy directing and editing. And with it came the sort of class and quality of the stars and locales of, say, Hitchcock's love letter to the Riviera, "To Catch a Thief."

Considering the popularity of celebrity lifestyle/reality shows, I am baffled as to why this show hasn't been released on DVD. Great interviews, too, with Roger Moore, Joan Collins, Charles Aznavour and the late, great James Coburn. Give it a look if you can.
