the movie is about (just very minor spoiler) a boy who is extremely unhappy ,living with his single mom(his father left them before he was born, but not your TNB.)his mother is a taxi driver, a working class woman who is very loving.but the boy becomes a little vain in the middle school where kids always brag about their things.so he tells his classmates his father is a special agent working on an important mission.one day he sees a "beautiful" blonde(superficially of course),he tells his classmates that she is his mom ....he tries to let the blonde play the role of his mother .surprisingly the blonde is very supportive...........every person at the end learns a good lesson about life.... of course.
this movie is very romantic, sensitive, a good representative of good french TV movies and a better example of bitter comedies
the teenage actor who play Olivier.is amazing.. his acting is very subtle.but powerful..french film veteran Célarié also does well as the aging woman (though she was only 40 at the time but managed to look like near 50, by makeup and of course acting skill)
it's a well produced TV film ,including beautiful shots of Calais port.
this is not thought provoking material that intends to shock. just a genuine, unpretentious, idyllic gem of television
