It would be difficult to conceive anything more sumptuous

Founded upon the popular English drama of the same name. The interest centers about the young man, apparently languid, but in reality a lion. This is proved on two dramatic occasions, and the girl, who at first repudiated her guardian, finds at the end that he is a remarkable man, and that under his seemingly indifferent exterior lies something which excites admiration in all who come in contact with him. He settles a serious strike and then faces without tremor the loaded revolver of a man who has sworn to kill him, ultimately sending the man away. The photoplay is a character worth seeing. Moreover, no expense has been spared in the elaborate staging and settings. It would be difficult to conceive anything more sumptuous than some of the scenes. - The Moving Picture World, February 25, 1911
