Totally silly and stupid...but it sure made me laugh!

This film is about a custody hearing. However, soon after it begins, the whole thing begins to take on a very silly and stupid tone. However, despite being a bit rough in style, the film made me laugh and most of the jokes were cute. Sophisticate? Nope. But it sure was fun!

I have just become aware of the short films of Eva Saks and am now captivated. This young film maker has been making shorts for eight years and CUSTODY was her first film. However, since making this cute film, she has created a real niche making films about real people--particularly the more adorable kids and how they see the world. This film is from her earlier "silly phase" and while not as deep or well-crafted as her later works, there is a certain silliness that is quite appealing. See more of her films--you won't be sorry. I particularly loved COLORFORMS but also could recommend KYLIE GOLDSTEIN, ALL American or any of her other wonderful films.
