Funny, smart and it has a dog.

I saw this film at Breckenridge and loved it. I'm not an easy audience, but I do like most reasonably smart comedies. Much better than most on the festival circuit, borderline awesome. Great cast.

Romantic comedy with a very funny lead

I put this in recently. I was part of the production as the AD. I have to say that I'm quite proud of it almost five years later. It's funny, mean-spirited, and the lead is adorable. The premise is simple, but in this slacker world the idea of being only six degrees away from someone like Kevin Bacon is worthy of a crusade. As the hero gets closer to his goal he begins pulling away from his friends who seem to have no ambition at all. In the end, he has to choose whether to finish his quest and leave everything he knows behind, or fall short and fit in. The guitar skills of Henry Phillips are complimented well by Maggie Fleck's violin playing. They really do seem like a nice couple, although they come from completely different worlds.
