The audience laughed heartily at this comedy
deickemeyer6 April 2016
The audience laughed heartily at this comedy. Auntie has upbraided the young man for his love for racing and has forbidden his calling upon her niece, Daisy, any more. Auntie herself is looking for a gentle horse. In town she sees a mule attached to an old rig and buys it. On the way home the cowboy overtakes her and challenges her to a race. And there is a race. Auntie evidently has sporting blood, too. She stands up in the rickety old vehicle and applies the gad to that mule in a way that sends it flying over the ground while Bud keeps close behind, arranging it so they arrive at the house neck and neck. Auntie immediately removes her objections to his attentions to Daisy. - The Moving Picture World, September 9, 1911
