Citroen Man
steve-trump26 July 2008
Hwo many people remember this being on ? I do ! I didn't know it was set in Morocco, only that it was set abroad. The whole story is a blur. I recall two things; the little model terracotta horse and the heroes being chased by someone driving a Citroen - "It's the Citroen Man !". I believe that they were trying to find the location of a statue known as the Terracotta Horse (surprise surprise !) and I think it was shown during the closing credits. I am pretty sure the story was only shown once. Looking at the cast list, I see that classic actor Nadim Sawalha was in this. He was in so many TV shows and films around this time.

Would I like to see it again ? Definitely; if only to unlock memories as I really can't remember if the story was good or bad.

I Saw this as a Kid in the UK
myccemail200319 July 2015
I barely remember watching this as a kid living in Kenley Surrey in roughly 1973. I remember it being a thriller but that's about it. I think it came on in the afternoon. I'm going to try to get a copy and re-watch it.

I don't think I knew what terracotta was at the time even. I think someone was killed in a scene and I was pretty shocked.

For some reason, I associate it with the series, MAN/DOG, which I loved, which I think had come on at the same time.

Sorry, this isn't much of a review. I think I liked it at the time. I'll re-watch it and write a proper one.

The Nice...
backfrom29 December 2009
i indeed remember this...(but no one i've talked to do does..) it was played during the weekday afternoons in Australia on (i think) the 7 network in the early/mid 70's and i think only got one run...

the 2 thing that really stick in my memory from this show is the children always saying (in a snooty posh English accent) "oh no/look out/there is..the man in the Citroen!!"

AND

the incidental/'A to B' music that played as they went running around the town/city on their adventures...which, when my brother bought a 'The Nice' record in '78, (as Keith Emerson from ELP was in The Nice before ELP) and he put it on, when "The Thoughts of Emerlist Davjak" came on and the "Baa Bup Baa Bup Baa Baaa Bup Baaa Baaa" singing came on i said excitedly "that's the music from the terracotta horse!!!"....

i don't remember too much else of the show but it must have been alright as i used to watch it.. wouldn't mind seeing it again though..(even if just to check out the rest of the music)... iv'e rated it 9/10 because the used "the Nice"...
