A real standout at an otherwise over-saturated Los Angeles International Short Film Festival. Screened in the "Homegrown Directors" category this film had excellent production value, a truly haunting (and appropriate) score, and most impressively, a cast that really clicked, a real rarity for a short. Both the "Young" and "Old Robert's" were believable as the same character, the scene with "Pops" and "Little Robert" held the theatre rapt, and the final nightmare dream sequence managed to convey Robert's terror without going over the top. The filmmaker manages to create and sustain a surreal mood throughout peaking with the fantastically realized climax. Seek this one out if you can, I look foreword to future films from these up and coming filmmakers.
