This is a half hour comedy drama series about a group of good looking, mostly 20-30 year old white gay male friends in Los Angeles. At various points they find themselves dissatisfied with relationships, personal lives and careers. The difficulties range from death, grief and violence to lighter topics such as getting lost in fantasies, accidentally participating in porn, mis-timed romantic attraction and back story revelations. We get to see likeable qualities in all the characters and their interactions are enjoyable. The pacing and quality of the series is consistent and it does not drag. I found it a good way to spend some tv time.

'Boystown-Ego laden'

To be honest I skipped over all the 'couples' except the relationships involving: David, Jake and Chance (&Ryan).. Why? They presented the vagaries of gay relationships! in full color and why it is extremely hard for a young gay couple to stay true to each other! I am gay and (fortunately) in a relationship 42 years and still going strong and can relate to its problems. I like to call the 'problem' "raging hormones mixed with an oversized ego!" Now that gay marriage is a fact, check out the number of gay celebs. who are divorcing just after a short (some cases brief!) marriage and soon getting engaged to another Teink and doing the PDA thing! With this in mind, it was perfectly explored in their relationship! However I fault the denouement in that it shifted gears too quickly and made the relationship between Jake and Chance as almost a 'one night stand!'
Amateur Hours

Hey guys! Let's make a series! How hard could it be?
Okay, full disclosure. I only watched the first episode. But even that was a struggle.
When it's a gay-themed production, I'll put up with a lot of amateurism if the story is good and the dialog is sharp. And I realize a series' first episode will mostly--and necessarily--be an introduction to the cast of characters and the story. But with this, the result for me was a swift realization that I don't want to know any more about these pretend people or their pretend problems. If I'm going to watch something like this, it has to have some truth to it at some level. Trust me, there is none to be found.
If you do not cringe at the performances or the dialog or the direction, well, bless your heart. And if you can refrain from judging a certain pair of eyebrows, well, you're a saint.
Think of HBO's series Looking. Then imagine an imitation version as bad as it could possibly be. Voilà.

I really enjoyed it. I wish there were more seasons on Amazon Prime. I like the storylines and of course the hot guys LOL I'm a big fan of Eric Dean and just became a fan of everybody else in the series. I started to follow most of them on social media. I hope to meet them someday which is probably crazy to say but you never know.!
Enjoyed the show!

My partner and i really enjoyed the show. I'm saddened to only see two seasons but hopefully they will return for more. Considering budget for the cable network they aired on, I thought they did a tremendous job. There is a lot of ups and downs with show, one minute you will laughing and the next I was pulling a tear. I think we need to embrace the hard work that goes into these series and be thankful that we still have gay filmmakers to bring us new content. My hats off to cast and crew, I have heard of some of the challenges getting the show made and I applaud you! Bravo!
There Should Be 10 More Seasons! AMAZING!

This is FINALLY a show that represents the Gay Community SO well. And with REALLY good story lines!
Current and past TV and Films about gay men have been overly cheesy, bad acting, horrible storyline, and overly effeminate men (not a bad thing to be, but when EVERY character is so flamboyant it undervalues other types of gay men we want to see on screen).
This is a show you can binge in one sitting, but also rewatch because it's so good. They took their time to select GOOD actors with skill. Because I instantly became enthralled in each characters story line.
Thank you for producing GENUINE and INCREDIBLE stories for the gays.
