The designers are asked to create a menswear look for ex-Giant football player Tiki Barber, which proves to be a difficult task since most of them are skilled in women's fashion and don't make clothes for men. The exception is Jack, who calls upon his expertise in men's tailoring to win the challenge. Carmen, who ran out of time and sent her model down the runway without a shirt, is auf'd.

The designers are challenged to create a fashionable, current look based on out-of-date trends. In addition, they had to team up in trios and ensure each disparate look came together in one cohesive collection. Jillian teamed up with Rami and Kevin, and won the challenge. Chris chose the wrong fabric, color and over-emphasized his outfit's shoulder pads, and was eliminated. Donna Karan served as the guest judge.

The designers had to create a new look for everyday women, each of whom had lost a significant amount of weight, out of their old clothes that no longer fit. Jack left the show voluntarily after he developed a MRSA on his face, and the previous episode's auf'ee, Chris, returned to take his place. Christian won the challenge and Steven was eliminated. Patrick Robinson, head designer for The Gap, was the guest judge.

Tim Gunn visits the final four designers at their homes, and grants us a biographic glimpse into their lives. Only Christian and Jillian had secure spots in the Bryant Park finale, so Rami and Chris had to duel for the remaining slot. Though Chris's use of human hair to trim his pieces was innovative and a touch off-putting, Rami's superior construction won out, and he won his place in the final three. Chris was out, but showed at Fashion Week anyway as a decoy, as did Sweet P.
