I saw this at the 2006 Palm Springs International Festival of Short Films and it's an entertaining 11 minute comedy short. This story was adapted from a short story by the late novelist Hubert Selby Jr who's novels included the acclaimed Last Exit to Brooklyn and Rquiem for a Dream as well as The Room and Waiting Period. Director/producer/editor David W. Woods also does the screenplay here. A young man is going out on a first date with a young woman and wants to give a good first impression so a friend suggests they go to a popular restaurant owned by a sports legend turned restaurateur and prearrange for him to stop by their table and say hello. Everything goes well or does it? Chris Hueisler and Catherine Wadkins star with John Ingle and Grant Thompson. This was well done and I would give it an 8.0 out of 10.
