Great documentary
swadisthana4 September 2007
This is an excellent National Geographic documentary. It follows the development of a human girl all the way from conception to birth. It is clear and informative, and presents the subject matter in an easy to follow manner.

There is real footage of 4-D scans of the womb - the latest in scanning technology, which makes for much clearer images of the foetus - interspersed with computer generated images of the same.

The only bad point to note (and the reason I only gave 7/10), is that the second part is mostly a repeat of the first part. That is, if you have two parts, the first part being 50mins and the second part 47mins, then my advice is to play the second part from 28:00 on, as ALL of the first 28 minutes is contained in the first part.

Get An Insider's Look At Gestation Within The Uterus

Professionally presented by National Geographic - This is really quite an interesting documentary.

Using the latest visual technology for our benefit, the viewer is given a close-up look at the development of twins and triplets as they mature and grow inside the womb.

This documentary also points out some of the risks and dangers that may (and sometimes do) occur with pregnancies of this sort.

All-in-all - This documentary (with its informative narration) takes on a very educational approach when it comes to its fascinating subject matter.

National Geographic does a great job. it's amazing how TV can teach you so many interesting things. and oh my God , there's so many things happening in a woman's womb ! a great documentary. lot of things in that. must see it for your self , don't mind me. all I can say is that you'll be for sure glue to the TV for the whole hour and 30 min . I can promise you that.great images taking from the inside , shows you how the baby grows and what changes happened there. he he he . I gave 'em a 10 ! they deserve it. I watched with my girlfriend and she was impressed too of what she saw in this documentary. it makes you wonder for sure , giving birth is no easy stuff. life is such a precious thing !

This is a very strange movie over-dramatizing the joys and beauty of the miracle of birth an pregnancy. It is interspersed with close-ups of women's bare abdomens, including a scene where the camera goes through a crowd zooming in on random women's abdomens. Apperanlty, all women wear crop tops all the time so you can constantly marvel at the beautiful miracle of pregnancy and birth. There are also weird voice overs where the fetus composes spontaneous poetry about life in the womb. It uses the same 5 ultrasound pictures probably 50 times. Also there are lots of scenes of just weird, moving tissues, fluids and pulsing things with no explanation as to what they are. I have to give it to them though, how a fetus develops in the womb is pretty cool.
