Hoss meets a young lady who is Irish but had lived with an Indian Tribe for years. She considers herself more Indian than Irish. She and Hoss fall in love but she is torn between the two ways of life. The episode is pretty good. Filled with high emotions. Brings to mind another Season Ten episode called The Survivors also about a white lady who lived with Indians.

This is why Pernell left the show

Warning: Spoilers
I love the characters of Bonanza but the writing was so incredibly predictable and repetitive. This is YET ANOTHER episode in which an attractive woman is planning to marry a Cartwright, so, yes, she needs to die. No wonder Pernell Roberts left the show. You can watch an episode of Gunsmoke for instance, and you really don't know how it will end. With this episode, and so many other Bonanza episodes, after the first 5 minutes you know what will happen. I really wish Bonanza had had better writing; it could've been a great show instead of just a good one.
