All you do to me is talk, talk Talk, talk, talk, talk

Warning: Spoilers
This one was a pretty strange episode tbh.

This lady knew she had lost her voice so why go through the motions? You don't have to out yourself and tell people, I've lost my voice. It's completely shot. I couldn't sing one line even if the whole word paid me every bit of money they had. Yeah, I know. If she didn't go through the motions of booking a concert, cancelling a concert or faking laryngitis, we wouldn't have an episode. The lady still has her voice to talk up a storm though. Joe was getting pretty bored with it all.

And *finger wags* didn't like that joke at Pernell's expense about "We got rid of him." Although this was at least a pot shot aimed in his direction the one time. I enjoy 'Two and a Half Men' and the writers really raked Charlie Sheen over the coals after his firing. I also claim ignorance. I wasn't alive during Bonanza's first run and my guess is what little I've read online about comments from Pernell about the series might be a case of barely scraping the surface. I have no idea how ugly it got behind the scenes or if it even got that ugly.

Looking up an old friend
bkoganbing29 July 2019
When the ladies of the Founder's Day of Virginia City Celebration Committee want some more refined events than the usual cowboy riding and roping contests, it's to Ben Cartwright they turn. And Lorne Greene goes to San Francisco to look up opera star Viveca Lindfors who's been out of the spotlight for years for help.

But when Greene brings her back to the Ponderosa and her old accompanist Ron Randell shows up that brings back some good and also a few bad memories as well.

In the end Virginia City's Founder's Day celebration does get a bit of culture after all.

Randell and Lindfors steal this one from the regulars.
