Sammy Davis Jr Show

One of the best episodes. The Q&A has one girl asking if Carol is doing Eunice tonight. She says no, but does the voice.

A great sketch starts thing off with Sammy playing an famous entertainer doing a show in his old Southern hometown. Carol comes backstage to meet with him since she knew him in the days when his mother worked as her maid. She makes some ignorant and bigoted remarks as Sammy gets more annoyed. Funniest moment is when she says she could never play hide and seek with him at night! It ends on a poignant note.

Sammy then sings a medley of songs he was famous for. It includes early ones like "Hey There" and the recent hit "Candy Man". He ends with the show stopper "What Kind Of Fool Am I"

A hilarious sketch follows about no frill airlines, where a passenger can pay less on the plane but gets no food, they need to bring their own. Harvey is the full paying customer who gets royal treatment from stewardess Carol. Tim is the the no frills one who gets a rope for a seat belt and turbulence in his seat when no one else gets it.

Next is a western sketch where marshal Harvey feels jilted by his deputy Sammy leaving him for another lawman.

The finale is a tribute to songwriter Harold Arlen. It is set in a tropical night club. Sammy is the bartender and sings "Get Happy". Tim and Carol are a vacationing couple, she sings "Come Rain Or Come Shine" Vicki is a showgirl who lures Tim away with "Follow The Yellow Brick Road", Carol and Sammy sing "The Man That Got Away". Harvey meets Carol, he sings "Stormy Weather" and she sings "Over The Rainbow'. Sammy does "Ac-cent-tchu-ate The Positive" and does his ''chick-a-gong" routine. Funniest scene is when Harvey tries it too.

Carol reminds us about stopping pollution and Sammy signs her book.
