Warning: Spoilers
The Larkins are open hearted to all and sundry regardless, helping out at every opportunity.

While the local 'Worthies' would never knowingly give anyone the benefit of any doubt, especially not the Larkin family.

Pop Larkin gives the good impression of being the absolute opposite of Ebenezer Scrooge, instead of denying everything to those around him.

He appears more as the embodyment of Saint Nicholas, delivering trees and snogs to Eddith Pilchester.

Supplier of poultry to the local butcher, paying the quack in kind with a goose and havanas.

They managed to tip it all off by feeding as many, as can be squeezed around the Larkin Christmas Dinner table.

Including the Brigadier, Edith Pilchester and the family, of excaped nere do well Tommy Mason.

Disappointing error

A lovely episode as were most. But the escaped convict dressed in a raincoat, suit and tie (which must have been donned BEFORE the handcuffs were put on, seemed like a glaring error. Convicts are dressed in prison garb, so they can be identified as convicts..

Christmas Is Coming
Prismark1018 March 2020
After the first series being a runaway ratings hit. Here is the Christmas Special.

Pop Larkin's hair is darker here. He has obviously also been filming the Only Fools and Horses Christmas Special, Miami Twice.

There is bonhomie in the Larkin household. The younger kids are debating if Father Christmas is real or Pop just dressed as one.

However the village is put on alert. One of the locals has escaped from prison and he might be heading to see his family.

As always Pop is generous to the villagers he likes, Edith Pilchester gets a kiss under the mistletoe from him.

Even the escaped prisoner just wants to see his wife and kids. Pop fixes that for him with the help of a Santa outfit.

A light frothy affair, fans of the show would had lapped it up.
