Great movie for horse fans (young or old) or anyone pursuing a dream. Especially, those who aspire to jump horses. The young riders learn that it takes dedication, self-discipline, love and passion to be successful at their sport. The 1961 film features Annette Funicello as her adorable self. We follow her through her journey to be an accomplished jumper. I found it an inspiration and an insightful movie teaching that one must be persistent to be good at something. The advice Annette is given to help her is quite touching. Hopefully, Disney will release it soon on DVD so the young people of today can see what a true class act celebrities/actors and a movie can be.

Wonderful blast from the past!

I remember watching this series when it was originally shown. I was 10, and an Annette fan. Looking at it now, so many years later, I'm delighted to find so many familiar faces. Janet Munroe was featured in "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" and "Swiss Family Robinson" (with Tommy Kirk, as well). Jean Marsh (Upstairs, Downstairs) was an amazing rediscovery. This is a great throw-back to a bygone era and bygone values.
