This second show is much like the first one. Instead of Mom being celebrated here, mom and grandpa are celebrating the oldest son making the baseball team. Meanwhile, the younger one is trying out fro the school choir. Because the older one is doing so well, the younger one feels peer pressure to lie about maiking the school choir after he doesn't.
This trouble get even more complex when the younger one borrows his friends choir robe in order to back up his lie to mom. Mom alters the large robe to fit her smaller son, which screws up the friend wanting it back in time for the choirs first performance. Since the show must go on, when the little one finally admits the lie, there is a lot of damage control for Doris to do.
Doris is not happy that the choir director has told her youngest he can not sing. So after all this work to straighten out the mess, Doris, Grandpa host a good old fashioned porch sing at the house so everybody can sing.
