A case of déjà vu
planktonrules23 November 2009
Friday and Gannon are working for the B.O.D. (the Business Office)--an administrative unit that deals with emergencies as well as day to day activities. In this case, a reported tidal wave might be heading towards L.A., but in the meantime the men deal with a wide variety of things as they come up--hippies who are mad that they aren't allowed to protest inside the building, a nice drunk who's come in to get "cleaned up", a nut who is threatening to kill himself (Vic Perrin--who looks like Henry Gibson's older and crazier brother), a shooting, a father with a wayward son...as well as a priest who is spending the day shadowing them--seeing exactly what the office does.

This show is like many others. They detectives already did a similar one where they manned the desk at the Juvenile unit as well as when they manned the phone during emergencies (the death of Martin Luther King, Jr.). Because of that, it all seems like a case of déjà vu. It's all reasonably interesting but also a bit of a retread.
