FALCON CREST Episode with Brad HARRIS

A deserving action star visiting Tuscany Valley

The CBS family series FALCON CREST has always offered the best cliffhangers. There was no shortage of this, especially in the third season. For what felt like five episodes, the audience trembled from one shocking moment to the next until a completely unexpected catastrophe finally occurred.

Shortly before the end of this outstanding season of the grape saga FALCON CREST, a spectacular supporting role was cast. For two decades, the likeable muscle man Brad HARRIS (1933-2017) became an action star of European cinema with films such as GOLIATH CONTRO I GIGANTI, KOMMISSAR X and QUESTA VOLTA TI FACCIO RICCO. After the decline of the European film industry, which was primarily based in Rome, at the beginning of the 1980s, Brad HARRIS returned from Munich to his native California in order to continue filming in Los Angeles (especially episodes for television series). So it came about that he was cast in individual series episodes by his old director friend Michael PREECE, whom he had met while filming army commercials near Munich in the late 1950s while he was serving in the army.

So it happened that Brad HARRIS was seen for the first time in the small role of Deputy Duffy in the episode "The Avenger / The Reckoning" (CBS first broadcast: May 11, 1984). But this part has it all. It is this Deputy Duffy who triggers a momentous catastrophe by firing a shot into the well house where the mentally confused Julia Channing Cumson (Abby DALTON) is threatening her scheming mother Angela Gioberti Channing Erickson (Jane WYMAN) with a gun.

Very big cinema with an unexpected reunion of a screen legend from West German action cinema (The Diamond Hell on the Mekong / Hot Harbor Hong Kong and many others)!
