Scientist Professor Weiss has been working on a very novel way to preserve food, with radioactivity, on his way to an important assignment he is ambushed, and a radioactive capsule he was carrying, falls into the hands of some children.
Tim Collier, the wonderful Dan Dailey is on the case. I rather enjoyed this, it's a lot of story to pack in to a running time of about 26 minutes. We have threat, danger and oodles of double crossing.
A good story, I love the novelty of the idea, radioactive food, in fairness it's not a million miles away from what we have now. So the kids were a little irritating, especially the one with the dubbed voice, but overall it's a pleasing case.
Collier is of course ready and willing, armed with every gadget required, Dailey is always great value, he's in good company here alongside Elwyn Brook Jones and the wonderful Frederick Schecker. I've only just watched Schecker in Dr Who, The Web of Fear, where he memorably played Julius Silverstein in episode one, lovely actor.
7/10.
