Mark Richard is set to become Ambassador to an African nation, but his future is in jeopardy when his wife Marcia hits and kills a cyclist, Tim Collier is on hand to offer his assistance.
I think it's a pretty decent episode, it's perhaps fair to say it's a well recycled plot, but what it perhaps lacks in terms of originality, it more than makes up for in delivery. It really does rely on Collier's cleverness, and ability to take a risk.
It's very nicely filmed, even if this is the first time the series has felt studio bound, it has a degree of authenticity, which the black and white filming allows, even the backdrop of The Alps looks pretty decent.
Simone Lovell is definitely the star of the show, excellent I thought, Patrick Barr and Charles Gray were both faultless, that voice of Gray's is simply unmistakable, quite marvellous.
Watch out for Frank Thornton once again playing a minor role, amazing how hard be worked in his younger years. Also look out for a young Jane Asher, would played Pierre's grieving granddaughter.
Solid, 7/10.
