Nothing huge to learn by, this was just a funny episode with a serious foreground story that mediates the comedy and seriousness needed.
THE girl that Joey was going to marry was his college flame, Patty Fogerty. Unfortunately, she took off with a jock leaving Joey heartbroken. Neither him nor Danny have gotten over it for the past ten years. She just got divorced and the last time she was ever truly happy was with Joey. The romance is rekindled, but Danny doesn't think them getting back together is such a good idea. The episode ends with one of those "lets be friends" and "let's start over" shticks. At least it wasn't corny or a major copout. If the main part of the story was more serious, then I could see the ending as is not being good. But it mediates.
The subplot features Kimmy showing off her brother's magic set. She cuffs DJ and Stephanie together and her brother will he in Reno for a week. Uh-oh!
So there may not be a whole lot of lessons, but at least there weren't any copouts with the humour and normality used.
