Season 12 of "Hawaii Five-O" sucked...there's no mincing words. The writers had long since run out of ideas and the shows were just sloppy. Add to that new cast members and you can easily see why the show didn't come back for another season.

One problem I just chalk up to laziness on the director's part. The show is all about a counterfeiter who has plates for fake $20 bills--but every time they flash one of these fakes, you can clearly see that the date on it is 1977--making it just a few years old, not 18 like they kept saying in the show. Couldn't SOMEONE have run to a local coin shop and bought an older $20?! Or, couldn't they have just been careful not to show the series date of 1977 TWICE?!

The show itself is also pretty weak. A home for delinquent girls is about to go out of business so the caretaker does what any ex-con caretaker would do--reassemble their old gang and distribute counterfeit money to help the home get in the black!! Duh... However, there is one plus. This guy, Willie, is played by Peter Bromilow and he had the most extraordinarily erudite voice and manners. A well-mannered guy dumped in a dumb show--I give this one an extra point just for Willie's nice demeanor. If it sounds like I'm stretching, I am--and a 4 would STILL make this episode better than most from season 12.
