This Is All Gale Gordon's Episode

Harry is hospitalized for a tonsillectomy but is not exactly a model patient.

Thank God, HERE'S LUCY is back in front of a live studio audience after a 4-episode arc shot single-camera style that did not work at ALL.

This episode really gets going once we get to the hospital setting. Mary Wickes plays the no-nonsense nurse and it's probably her best appearance on this Lucy incarnation. There are many good jokes in this one.

Jack Collins plays an expectant father in the waiting room, and he and Harry have a hilarious exchange where each thinks the other is talking about something else. Collins' character is named Mr. Phillips, just like he was on THE BRADY BUNCH.

Harry's reaction when Lucy brings peanut brittle is sublime and we also get the reliable old folding-bed gag. There is a charades sequence, but it doesn't work as well here as in other episodes.

The sexy nurse is played by Lucy's WILDCAT co-star Paula Stewart.

Above average episode for the Season and Harry gets all the funny stuff.
