In this episode an over ambitious Army Lieutenant attempts to arrest an elderly farmer for his desertion in the civil war 10 years prior. In the chaos someone starts shooting and the farmer is besieged inside his house along with his young daughter. The Army Lieutenant then shoots the farmer's dog and begins a long siege. Although townsfolk try to show up and make the Army Officer see reason, he refuses and continues the siege, exchanging gunfire with the family inside. The townsfolk then make an attempt to reason with the Lieutenants commanding officers back in Langley, but they refuse and say the elderly farmer is practicing a form of religion they don't like. Back at the farm, the Lieutenant brings in a cannon and uses it to burn the farmhouse down with the family inside. The Lieutenant then receives praise for his actions from the ATF.
How the director of this episode was so accurately able to depict the Siege of Waco 23 years prior to it even happening is beyond me. The sheer clairvoyance of the episode is astounding.
