TV Westerns back in the day were a sort of morality play, and this one lived up to that reputation. Guest Star Geraldine Brooks excelled in this episode.

The High Chaparral is a show that is similar to Bonanza in many ways... the camaraderie between characters is really great!
I loved both shows, and watched both as a kid! But this episode of High Chaparral illustrated, really illustrated the humanity of the characters in a way that is different from most TV shows or movies.
The part towards the end, Blue Boy made the show...! You'll see, and I think you'll agree.
