When the bus company boss runs into Ralph after work, he invites him to his Park Avenue apartment. His wife has given him a pool table, but he has never played. Ralph ends up taking Norton along, a recipe for disaster. There are a series of fish- out-of-water moments, but what happens is that Norton gets the ear of the boss and Ralph is left holding the bag. Then we have the usual dismissal of the friendship that now needs resolution. The conclusion beg some pretty serious acceptance; it's a bit too pat. Also, is there going to be any follow-up. Like the disappearing telephone (in one episode, the Kramdens get a phone, but it never appears again), Ralph has opportunities, but I doubt they will ever come to fruition

Classic that can never be replaced!

Great episode as usual. One thing I noticed that toward the end of the episode when Alice leans to give Ed a kiss on the check she lands close to his lip. Ed appeared a bit flustered during his next line. Love the natural reactions during this age of TV.

Poor Ralph, his boss invites him to his ritzy digs so Ralph can teach him how to play pool on his new pool table. This is Ralph's big chance to get in good with the boss. Trouble is he invites Norton to go along. Thus, problems ensue.
Fairly funny episode. Ralph gets to practice his anger management, by quietly standing by while Norton steals his thunder with the boss. So Alice gets his frustrated brunt when the big boy gets home. There's an amusing bit with Ralph and Norton trying to figure out what the butler's summoning pull- cord is for. As a result a pair of butler shoes gets worn out. All in all, it's a typically funny entry, though I didn't much care for the resolution—too much of a self-serving contrivance that the classic series usually managed to avoid.
